What to Expect on the Consultation
The call will last about fifteen minutes over the phone. We’ll briefly go over what’s been happening for you, what you’ve already tried, and see if my approach seems like a good fit for where you are right now. I promise to be honest with you either way. If it turns out that my practice isn’t the right match, I’ll happily suggest some referral options if I have any. There’s no need to prepare anything in advance, but if you’d like to feel more ready:
Understanding the situation you face.
A brief, honest description of what’s going on, including intrusive thoughts, anxiety, habits, or whatever led you here. You don’t need a formal diagnosis or a speech.
Your previous attempts so far
Previous therapy, self-help, medication, or anything else. What helped, what did not, and why you are still looking. This helps me quickly determine whether what I do is different enough to be worth your time.

Anything you want to know about my approach, what a typical course of treatment looks like, or whether I work with your situation. The call is a two-way conversation.
A Strong Fit for Specific Problems
This practice warmly supports adults dealing with OCD, intrusive thoughts, mental compulsions, reassurance-seeking, anxiety, panic, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and trauma. Our treatment is thoughtfully structured and based on proven methods, always keeping the person we’re helping in focus. While these are the main conditions we specialize in, we’re also happy to help with common co-occurring issues like depression, substance abuse, and other related challenges.
What Working Together Costs, Stated Plainly
Private pay, $200 per 60-minute session; select insurance accepted
The consultation is free. Private-pay clients may request a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement; check your plan’s terms. For select in-network plans (UnitedHealthcare, Anthem, Aetna), sessions are verified and billed through Headway. Estimates are not a guarantee of coverage or final cost.
Telehealth availability
Murad Counseling PLLC is delighted to offer convenient telehealth therapy options for adults in Texas, Washington, and New Hampshire, where Felix Murad is licensed. We also warmly welcome Florida residents through our out-of-state telehealth provider registration, making support accessible wherever you are.
