In-network sessions are available through Headway for UnitedHealthcare, Anthem, and Aetna plans. Headway verifies your benefits and estimated cost before your first session, and handles billing. Estimates are not a guarantee of coverage or final cost; some plans require additional verification.
How Superbills and Reimbursement Work
A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes diagnostic codes, service codes, session dates, and provider credentials your insurer needs to process an out-of-network claim. A superbill may be provided upon request, when applicable.
A superbill does not guarantee reimbursement. Whether and how much a plan pays depends on the plan’s terms: deductible status, allowed amounts, claim rules, and the insurer’s determination. You are responsible for verifying your out-of-network benefits and submitting claims to your plan.
Checking benefits in advance
If you want an estimate of your plan’s out-of-network coverage before reaching out, Thrizer’s benefits checker is an optional third-party tool that may help you estimate out-of-network benefits. No accuracy or reimbursement is guaranteed, and your insurer’s determination controls.
One Fee. The Whole Appointment. A Real Plan.
The fee buys focused specialist time, not a rushed slot. Between-session communication is available for brief scheduling and treatment-related questions; it is not crisis support, and clinical matters that need real time are handled in session.
